What the link does
The DayZ Hub Discord bot and the Console work together once you link a Console server to a Discord server.
Vote Rewards: players claim what they bought with vote tokens by typing !claim in the game chat.
Server commands: your staff run /server in Discord to ban, unban, kick, announce, message a player, lock, unlock and restart your game server.
Feeds: Live Status, /dayzstats, the Kill Feed, the Join and Leave Feed and raid alerts can use your Console server as their source.
Before you start
You need a Console server and a Discord server that has DayZ Hub Premium 3. The Discord server must belong to the same Discord account that is linked to your Console account (My account). Only the owner of the Console server can link it. The link works on every Console plan, including Free.
Link your server
- Open your server in the Console and go to Integrations.
- In the DayZ Hub card, pick your Discord server from the list and save.
- The card shows Active when both sides check out. If it shows Paused, it says why: the Discord server has no Premium 3, or it is not owned by your linked Discord account.
- To remove the link, choose no server and save. Nothing is deleted.
Claiming vote rewards in game
If the Console cannot confirm a delivery, it is held for your staff instead of being given twice.
- A player votes for your server and runs /votes collect in Discord.
- They buy an item with /votes buy.
- In the game chat they type !claim. The Console gives the items next to them within seconds and answers them in a private message.
- !tokens shows their balance and !shop lists your shop.
Running the server from Discord
In Discord, /server has ban, unban, kick, announce, message, lock, unlock and restart. Each one needs a Discord permission: Ban Members for ban and unban, Kick Members for kick, Manage Messages for announce and message, and Manage Server for lock, unlock and restart. Restart also asks you to confirm.
Every action is written to your audit trail as Discord and the staff member's name. An unban from Discord only lifts bans that came from Discord, never a ban you set by hand.
If the link pauses
The link is checked every time it is used. If your Console plan or the Discord server's Premium 3 ends, or the Discord account changes, it pauses by itself. Nothing is deleted, and it continues as soon as both sides are fine again.
